Fereshteh was established in March 2001 to provide care for orphaned girls aged between 12 and 18. It has had an outstanding record of success for 20 years. Fereshteh has helped 5 young women continue their education at the undergraduate/graduate levels, and provided emotional and financial support to allow many young women to become independent contributors to society. Fereshteh also has helped 35 of the girls to unite with their families, following a rigorous screening process to ensure each family meets the criteria for health and safety. Currently, Fereshteh hosts 12 orphaned girls.
Here are brief statistics about these children and the grades they are in:
Due to the complex economic situation, Fereshteh, which is run by donations from local donors, is hardly able to cover its basic needs like food and clothing for these children. As a result, dreams of educational advancement for these 12 young women have been cut short due to limited resources. We plan to help this trusted local organization in the city of Khoy to cover these expenses. We are planning to continue an extensive personalized educational program for each of these children, which will include the following:
Our estimates show that we need about $3,500 USD to fully cover the educational needs of Fereshteh’s children (See Education Campaign’s page for the details). These children need your donation and support to get a decent education, to be able to nurture their talents and become financially independent and functional members of society when they grow up. Your help will make a real difference in the lives of these children who have been deprived of a peaceful and normal life. Please consider donating, as your donation will alleviate their suffering.
