Fereshteh

Overview

Fereshteh was established in March 2001 to provide care for orphaned girls aged between 12 and 18. It has an outstanding record of success for 20 years: 11 of the girls have married, and Fereshteh has helped them financially and emotionally start their new lives with their spouses. Fereshteh has also helped 5 of the girls continue their education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Fereshteh also has helped 35 of the girls to unite their families when their family has met the healthy and safe criteria. Currently, Fereshteh hosts 12 orphaned girls.

As mentioned, Fereshteh is housing 12 children. Here are brief statistics about these children and what grades they are in:

What are we planning to do?

Due to the complex economic situation, Fereshteh, which is run by receiving donations from local donors, is hardly able to cover its basic needs like food and clothing for these children. This leads to neglecting the educational needs of these 12 girls. We plan to help this trusted local organization in the city of Khoy to cover these expenses. Investing in the education of these children We are planning to continue an extensive personalized educational program for each of these children, which will include the following:

• Buying school books, supplies, stationeries and backpacks at the beginning of the school year
• Buying shoes/clothing and school uniforms at the beginning of the school year for these children
• Having three series of refresher classes (کلاس های تقویتی) in courses which each of the students have problems with before the exams of first school semester (امتحانات بهمن ماه) and second school semester (امتحانات شهریور), and during summer 2023
• Registering the children above 14 in skill set classes (کلاس های مهارت آموزی) to become readier for the time of their independence, for example: tailoring classes, mechanics, and etc
• Registering the students in extracurricular activities classes like art and sports classes to provide a chance for them to nurture their talents like a normal child
• Book Supplements Teaching Resources
• Buying a pack of story books to introduce them to the concept of reading

Why should you help us?

Our estimates show that we need about $3,500 USD to fully cover the educational needs of Fereshteh’s children (See Education Campaign’s page for the details). These children need your donation and support to get a decent education, to be able to nurture their talents and become financially independent and functional members of society when they grow up.
