Overview

Khaneh Masoumeh Charity, located in Chaharmahal va Bakhtiari- ShahreKord, was officially established in 1985 by a board of trustees and board of directors (7 members and 2 inspectors) with a valid establishment license and activity license granted by the welfare organization and is mostly run by donations made by the local community.

The charity currently supports 6 girls, 3 in primary school, 2 in Middle school, and 1 in high school. The charity’s mission is to support children emotionally, financially, and educationally, while ensuring their overall health and well-being. The children participate in outdoor activities, including picnics in local parks on a weekly basis.

The children are supported with the help of dedicated personnel, including 4 instructors, one cook, one assistant, and also one part-time psychologist. Over the past years, 35 girls have left the center, some have married, and 80% have gone on to pursue higher studies at the university level. One of the girls is currently doing her Ph.D. degree, two are law graduates, and 4 have masters in accounting.

In the long term, the charity is hoping to be able to start a center for boys as well.

This charity supports 16 vulnerable children. Here are brief statistics about these children and their grades:

• Elementary schoolers: 13
• Middle schoolers: 2
• High schoolers: 1

What are we planning to do?

We are planning to continue an extensive personalized educational program for each of these children which will include the following:

• Buying school books, supplies, backpacks, shoes/clothing and school uniforms at the beginning of the school year
• Providing three refresher classes (کلاس های تقویتی) throughout the year, for exam preparation during the first/second school semesters, and summer sessions
• Registering the children above 14 in skill set classes (کلاس های مهارت آموزی) to help them learn practical skills that will prepare them for the future - for example, tailoring classes, mechanics, etc.
• Registering the students in extracurricular activities classes like art and sports classes to provide a chance for them to know and nurture their talents like normal children
• Supplying supplemental teaching resources, including a pack of story books to encourage a lifelong love of reading

Our estimates show that we need about $4,200 USD to fully cover the educational needs of Shahreh-Kord’s children.
