Overview

Khaneh Masoumeh Charity, located in Chaharmahal va Bakhtiari- ShahreKord, was officially established in 1985 by a board of trustees and board of directors (7 members and 2 inspectors) with a valid establishment license and activity license granted by the welfare organization and is mostly run by donations made by the local community.

The charity currently supports 6 girls, 3 in primary school, 2 in Middle school, and 1 high school student. The charity’s mission is to support children emotionally, financially, and educationally and also to support children’s health. The children picnic in the parks on a weekly basis.

The children are supported with the help of dedicated personnel, including 4 instructors, one cook, one assistant, and also one part-time psychologist. Over the past years, 35 girls have left the center, some have married, but 80% started studying at universities. One of the girls is currently doing her Ph.D. degree, two are law graduates, and 4 have masters in accounting.

In the long term, the charity is hoping to be able to start a center for boys as well.

This Charity supports 16 vulnerable children. Here are brief statistics about these children and what grades they are in:

• Elementary schoolers: 13
• Middle schoolers: 2
• High schoolers: 1

What are we planning to do?

We are planning to continue an extensive personalized educational program for each of these children which will include the following:

• Buying school books, supplies, stationeries, and backpacks at the beginning of the school year,
• Buying shoes/clothing and school uniforms at the beginning of the school year for these children
• Having three series of refresher classes (کلاس های تقویتی) in courses which each of the students have problems with before the exams of the first school semester (امتحانات بهمن ماه) and second school semester (امتحانات شهریور), and during summer 2023
• Registering the children above 14 in skill set classes (کلاس های مهارت آموزی) to become readier for the time of their independence, for example tailoring classes, mechanics, etc.
• Registering the students in extracurricular activities classes like art and sports classes to provide a chance for them to nurture and know their talents like a normal child
• Book Supplements Teaching Resources
• Buying a pack of story books to introduce them to the concept of reading
