Overview

Javadolaemeh Children and Adolescents Home of Neyshabour has been operating in Khorasan Razavi province since 2000 as a board of trustees and a board of directors with a valid establishment license and activity license started running this Charity. It started with the aim of helping all the orphan and abused children of society and providing a safe environment for growth and prosperity, and meeting the basic needs of these loved ones.

The charity currently has 40 boys in two age groups of 6 to 13 years old in Center One and an age group of 13 to 18 years old in Center Two (capacity in each age group is 20 people). Center One is endowed, but unfortunately, Center Two is rented. All children are being educated at local schools, with the exception of a few who have dropped out of school yet are being educated in the center with the help of honorary teachers.

As mentioned, Javadolaemeh is supporting 40 vulnerable children. Here is a brief statistics about these children and what grades they are in:

• Preschoolers: 2
• Elementary Schoolers: 24

• High Schoolers: 4
• Dropped our children: 4

What actions have been taken by Golestan's donors up to this point?

In the summer of 2022, Golestan did support the education of these children in a pilot program. We provided financial support for Javadol-Aemmeh Charity to do the following for these 38 children:

• Registering these vulnerable children in 71 person-extracellular activity classes, including art and sports summer classes, to nurture their talents and feel like normal children.
• Registering children above 14 years old in a 9-person-skill set improvement series of classes so that they become readier for the time leaving the orphanage and become independent.
• Holding 89 person-series of refresher classes for the school courses that these children have problems in.
• Purchasing 54 help books for these children.

What are we planning to do?

We are planning to continue an extensive personalized educational program for each of these children which will include the following:

• Buying school books, supplies, stationeries, and backpacks at the beginning of the school year
• Buying shoes/clothing and school uniforms at the beginning of the school year for these children
• Having three series of refresher classes (کلاس های تقویتی) in courses which each of the students has problems with before the exams of the first school semester (امتحانات بهمن ماه) and second school semester (امتحانات شهریور) and during summer 2023
• Registering the children above 14 in skill set classes (کلاس های مهارت آموزی) to become readier for the time of their independence, for example: tailoring classes, mechanics, etc.
• Registering the students in extracurricular activities classes like art and sports classes to provide a chance for them to nurture and know their talents like a normal child
• Book Supplements Teaching Resources
• Buying a pack of story books to introduce them to the concept of reading

Our estimates show that we need about $10,000 USD to fully cover the educational needs of Neyshabur’s children.
