Bani Mehr-e Javdan

Overview

Bani Mehr-e Javdan is a charitable organization based in Jiroft, Kerman Province. Established in 1987 (originally under the name Samen Health Charity Foundation), the organization operates primarily through the support of local community donations.

In 2004, the charity launched its orphanage services in a rented facility, initially supporting 25 girls. Over time, it expanded its infrastructure by constructing two dedicated orphanage buildings. The girls’ facility, completed in 2017, currently houses 11 residents, while the boys’ facility, completed in 2021, accommodates 12 children.

Today, Bani Mehr-e Javdan supports 23 vulnerable children within its orphanages, providing them with continuous emotional and financial care until they reach independence. Beyond residential care, the organization also assists 211 underprivileged families, primarily in rural areas, by providing food, medical aid, and financial support to improve child welfare.

What actions have been taken by Golestan's donors up to this point?

Golestan donors launched a pilot educational support program for these children. Through this initiative, funding enabled Bani Mehr to:

  • Enroll children in extracurricular activities (art and sports), reaching approximately 76 participants and promoting both talent development and social inclusion
  • Provide skills training programs for children aged 14 and above, benefiting 18 participants and preparing them for independent living
  • Conduct refresher academic classes for approximately 108 students to strengthen their understanding of challenging subjects
  • Supply educational resources, including 103 supplementary books

What are we planning to do?

We aim to continue and expand a comprehensive, personalized educational support program tailored to each child’s needs. This includes:

  • Providing essential school supplies at the start of the academic year (books, backpacks, clothing, shoes, and uniforms)
  • Organizing three rounds of refresher classes throughout the year to support exam preparation across both semesters and summer sessions
  • Enrolling children aged 14 and above in vocational and skills-based training programs (e.g., tailoring, mechanics) to equip them with practical, income-generating skills
  • Ensuring continued participation in extracurricular activities such as art and sports to foster creativity, confidence, and well-being
  • Distributing enriched learning materials, including storybooks, to encourage reading habits and long-term educational growth

Why should you help us?

Our estimates indicate that approximately $16,000 USD is required to fully support the educational needs of Bani Mehr-e Javdan’s children.

Your contribution will directly provide access to education, skill-building opportunities, and a stable support system—empowering these children to build independent and sustainable futures. Many have faced significant hardship, and your support can create lasting, meaningful change in their lives.

We encourage you to consider donating. Your generosity will help provide opportunity, stability, and hope for a brighter future.
