Ameneh

Overview

Ameneh Institute was established in 2003 by a group of dedicated women, many of whom were current or retired school teachers and principals. Since its founding, the institute has provided a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for orphaned children and those lacking family support.

Currently, the institute supports 21 vulnerable children.

With the generous support of local donors, Ameneh has recently completed the construction of a modern, purpose-built facility and successfully relocated all children to this new space—significantly improving their living and learning environment.

What are we planning to do?

We aim to implement a comprehensive, personalized educational support program tailored to each child’s needs. This program will include:

  • Provision of essential school supplies at the beginning of the academic year (books, backpacks, clothing, shoes, and uniforms)
  • Organization of three rounds of refresher classes throughout the year to support academic performance (covering both school semesters and summer sessions)
  • Enrollment of children aged 14 and above in vocational and skills-based training programs (e.g., tailoring, mechanics) to build practical life skills
  • Registration in extracurricular activities such as art and sports classes to foster creativity, confidence, and a sense of normalcy
  • Distribution of enriched educational materials, including storybooks, to encourage reading habits and long-term learning

Why should you help us?

Our estimates indicate that approximately $6,500 USD is required to fully cover the educational needs of Ameneh’s children.

Your support will directly contribute to providing these children with access to quality education, personal development opportunities, and the tools they need to build independent and fulfilling futures. Many of these children have experienced significant hardship, and your contribution can play a vital role in transforming their lives.

We encourage you to consider donating. Your generosity will not only support their education but also restore hope and opportunity for a brighter future.
