Bam, Kerman

Ali Ibn Abitalib

Overview

Ali Ibn Abi Taleb Charity, located in Bam, Kerman, was established in 2001, initially supporting 30 children between the ages of 7 and 13. Over the past two decades, the charity has expanded its impact, assisting more than 200 children by providing educational, financial, and emotional support. The charity offers a range of services, including healthcare programs for children under 18, financial and emotional assistance for vulnerable families, housing support, financial rehabilitation for parents, and child therapy services. Currently, the charity supports approximately 16 resident children.

What actions have been taken by Golestan's donors up to this point?

Golestan donors launched a pilot program to support the education of these children. Through this initiative, funding was provided to enable the charity to:

  • Enroll students in extracurricular classes (art and sports) alongside larger peer groups, helping them develop skills and experience a sense of normalcy
  • Conduct small-group refresher classes tailored to subjects where students needed additional academic support
  • Provide supplementary educational materials, including nine academic support books

What are we planning to do?

Building on the success of the pilot program, we aim to implement a comprehensive and personalized educational support plan for each child. This includes:

  • Providing essential school supplies at the start of the academic year (books, backpacks, clothing, shoes, and uniforms)
  • Organizing three rounds of refresher classes throughout the year (covering both school semesters and summer sessions)
  • Enrolling children aged 14 and above in vocational and skills-based training programs (e.g., tailoring, mechanics) to prepare them for future employment
  • Continuing access to extracurricular activities such as art and sports to foster creativity and personal development
  • Supplying enriched learning resources, including storybooks, to encourage reading and long-term educational engagement

Why should you help us?

Our estimates indicate that approximately $2,400 USD is required to fully support the educational needs of the children in Bam. Your contribution will directly help provide access to education, skill development, and a more stable environment—empowering these children to build independent and productive futures. For children who have faced significant hardship, your support can create meaningful and lasting change. We encourage you to consider donating. Your generosity can significantly improve their quality of life and open doors to new opportunities.
